MTB | BREVARD |4/22- 4/25
Join Black Dog Adventures for a action packed, weekend mountain bike getaway in Brevard, NC. This all inclusive weekend the perfect way to immerse yourself in all that Western North Carolina has to offer. We'll ride epic trails, eat local food, visit breweries, drink coffee and stay at Davidson River Campground located in Pisgah National Forest, just minutes from the trails & all that Brevard has to offer! If you're ready for some fun times, exceptional trails and like minded, dirt-loving company, jump on board, we'll do the rest!
Brevard sits in a beautiful valley in Western North Carolina, just 3 hours from Atlanta and 2 hours from Charlotte. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest there is more riding here than you could imagine! We will hit Dupont on Saturday with an Intermediate ride covering some of it's top trails like Rocky Ridge, Hickory Oak Mountain & Ridgeline. Sunday's ride will be a choice between an (Intermediate +) ride in Pisgah for those that are up for it with an option for some fresh terrain in Dupont!
While "on the bike fun" will be off the charts, our "off the bike" fun will be in full swing the entire weekend! Home base will be Davidson River Campground located minutes from downtown Brevard! Our group of campsites will be together with one site acting as MTB Base Camp! That's where we will kick the day off and wind the day down around the fire pit! It's the perfect place to meet up, eat & drink with mountain views as a backdrop! A Friday night kick off will give everyone the chance to check in, meet up, pick up their gear, have some Mexican fare and a beverage or two. There are three bike shops within a couple miles of the campground in case you need a last minute bike tweak to get squared away. Saturday morning we'll fuel up on a continental breakfast and freshly brewed coffee before we head out to Dupont for a great day of riding followed by a late lunch & beverage on the outdoor patio at Oskar Blues Brewery! Saturday's dinner will be back at base camp where we'll indulge in some local BBQ and get prepped and ready for Sunday morning's ride. Sunday breakfast will be our last hurrah at Base Camp. It'll be breakfast, coffee, check out/site tear down and then we'll head to the trails for an epic day #2 ride.
